How to create a new Map Service

  1. Click on the Admin icon
  2. Go to Ticket Management / Map Services
  3. Click on the blue icon to create a new Map Service
  4. Select your call center

  5. Select if you would like everyone to see the Map service or only specific Roles+

  6. Select the type of map service

    • ArcGIS -

      • Enter the URL for the ArcGIS service.

      • Provide the Auth Token Generation URL.

      • Enter the username and password for authentication.

    • KML/KMZ -

      • Enter the URL to the KML/KMZ file, or browse to upload the file.

        Note: The maximum file size for KML/KMZ files is 3MB. The maximum size for an uncompressed KMZ file is 10MB.

      • Choose if the layer should be used in routing.

    • GeoJSON -

      • Enter the URL for the location of the GeoJSON
    • Shapefile

      • Browse to upload the shape file. Ensure your shapefile is compressed into a .zip archive before uploading
        Note:

        • The maximum file size for Shapefile is 3MB. The maximum size for an uncompressed Shapefile file is 10MB.

        • Each .zip archive must contain at least one file with a .shp extension. It is recommended that the archive also includes ".shx", "prj", "dbf", and ".cpg" files. Without them, the shapefile may not work as expected.

      • Choose if the layer should be used in routing.

  7. Give the Map Service a name

  8. Click Save

View Shapefile in the Map

Once the shapefile is uploaded, you can view it under the Map field.

  1. From the dropdown menu, select your call center. A new option will appear under the Layer settings.

  2. Select the uploaded shapefile from the list. The shapefile will now be displayed on the map.
