Overview

Welcome to the new Scheduler feature in BOSS811! We're thrilled to introduce this powerful tool designed to streamline your task management and scheduling needs within the BOSS811 platform. This feature will allow you to send saved global Reports or saved global Advanced Searches via email to specified recipients on a scheduled basis.

NOTE: You must have “View” and/or “Modify” permissions to access this tab.

Key Features

Intuitive Interface: Scheduler comes with a user-friendly interface, making it easy for both novice and experienced users to navigate and utilize its features effectively.

Task Management: Easily create, edit, and prioritize tasks directly within Scheduler.

Customizable Views: Tailor the Scheduler tool to your preferences with customizable views, including weekly and monthly calendars.

Notifications and Reminders: Stay informed and never miss any scheduled tasks.

Options available in Scheduler

  1. Navigate to the Scheduler tab from the left panel of your BOSS811 screen to view, create and modify scheduled tasks.
  2. Below are the options available on the landing page of Scheduler.

    1. Calendar View: View the Scheduled tasks on the selected month in the calendar layout.

    2. List View: View the list of all the scheduled tasks.

    3. Week view: View the tasks of a selected week.

    4. Month view: View the tasks of a selected month.

    5. New Scheduled Task: Create new scheduled tasks.

    6. Navigation button: Navigate to the next or previous week/month. Click the “Today” option to navigate to the current day.

    7. Tasks: Tasks scheduled for the day/week.

    8. Fields are available in the new scheduled task creation.
    9. Task type: Define the type of the task. You can select from the options available.
    10. Name: Give the task a name to easily identify it.
    11. Enabled: Enable or disable the task from running.
    12. Schedule: Schedule the task to run hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
    13. Run count limiting: Limit the number of times the task runs. For example: If you want to schedule the task for the next 3 days at 5:00 PM. You can set the limit to 3 runs.
    14. Report type: A list of Globally Saved options will be available to choose from based on the task type (Report or Advanced Search).
    15. Recipients: Select the recipients based on roles, users, or email addresses.

Steps to create New Scheduled Task

  1. Navigate to the Scheduler tab from your Left side menu.
  2. Click “New Scheduled Task”.
  3. Fill out all the necessary fields, click “Save”.

Edit / Delete Scheduled Tasks

  1. Navigate to the List view or click on the Scheduled task from the Calendar View that you wish to “edit or delete”.
  2. Click Edit or Delete.
  3. The edit option will open the scheduled task and allow changes to be made in editable fields. Once the changes have been made, click “Save”.
  4. The delete option will remove the task entirely. A pop up will ask for confirmation before deleting. Click “Yes”.
